1. Visa Categories
Persons travelling to Japan may require permission to enter the country in the form of a visa.
(1) Temporary Visitor’s Visa
(2) Transit Visa
(3) Visa for Working & Long Term Stay

2. Visa Applicants Notice
(1) Submission of requirements does not guarantee the issuance of a visa.
(2) Applicants who have provided false information, forged or altered documents will immediately be disqualified.
(3) Additional documents may be required for submission.
(4) A visa does not guarantee entry into Japan.
(5) The Consular Officer makes the final decision in categorizing the purpose of travel.
(6) The Consular Officer cannot disclose the reason for the denial of issuance.

3. NOTE
(1) All applicants MUST either call 1-868-628-5991 (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) or E-mail consular@po.mofa.go.jp to make an appointment with the Visa Section at least one week in advance.
(2) Visa applications sent by mail will not be accepted. All visa applications must be submitted in person by the applicant or by use of a proxy with written authorization from the applicant.
