Jurisdiction
Visa applications should be made at the Japanese Embassy or consulate with jurisdiction over the applicant’s place of permanent residence. You may apply at this Embassy if you live, work or are currently residing within the area to which this Embassy is accredited. The Visa Section of the Embassy of Japan in Trinidad is accredited to serve applicants from Trinidad and Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, the Commonwealth of Dominica, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Guyana.
In the case of Suriname applicants, a Japanese visa is not required if the purpose of visit is tourism, commerce, a conference, visit to relatives/acquaintances etc, with the length of stay not exceeding 3 months.
