Origami Workshop at the Penal/Debe Regional Corporation
On March 3, 2010, the Embassy of Japan collaborated with the Penal Debe Regional Corporation in hosting an Origami Workshop for Art Teachers of various Primary and Secondary schools of the Corporation. This workshop was held at the Corporation's Office, and is a part of its Annual Art Competition; the theme of Origami being selected for this year's Competition. The aim of this workshop was to introduce the art of Origami (paper folding) to the art teachers, who would in turn introduce the artform to their respective schools. Mrs. Sabrina Mowlah-Baksh of the Corporation facilitated the workshop on behalf of the Corporation, whilst Mrs. Kazuko Rankine, Mrs. Shiho Arakawa and Ms. Katherine Souddama assisted the Embassy in conducting the demonstrations. The teachers were presented with materials on Origami at the end of the presentation. Schools represented at the workshop included:
