Takachiho Gorge Carved by the Gokase River, this is easily one the most beautiful spots in Kyūshū and a must see when visiting the island. Nestled in the mountains of Miyazaki prefecture there is so much to enjoy about it, whether it's paddling through the gorge, viewing it from the perimeter or taking the nature trail through the surrounding forest there are no shortage of photo opportunities and breathtaking views.
